# Let's predict the BS 'Hard Times' news stories we'll hear

Here in San Diego, we have several Indian casinos, and I keep waiting for the news stories about how their patronage has dwindled. Uh no…apparently, people are morons and think the solution to their economic problems is to keep gambling because now they really need that “big score” more than ever.

I was talking to a gal who works in marketing for one of the larger ones (Viejas) who told me that while they did see a small dip in customers when gas prices started going through the roof, now that prices have started coming down, attendance is back up to normal despite the bleak job market and housing crisis.

Don’t forget the stories about how to save gas by accelerating slowly from stoplights and going 55 (at most) on the freeway.
