…From Hollywood: _The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse_, _Hell’s Angels_ (directed by Howard Hughes), _Three Comrades_ (co-written by F. Scott Fitzgerald), _Paths of Glory_ (directed by Stanley Kubrick), _Johnny Got His Gun_…

**Walloon** , I am surprised, you are usually much better about reading before posting.

Oh, and there was an episode of _Dinosaurs_ where the 2-leggers and the 4-leggers go into trench warfare over who was better. They kept throwing sticks at each other and everyone kept losing eyes. You know, that’s actually clever the more I think about it.

This was mainly a satire of the then-recent Gulf War, with pistachios filling in for oil. Then again, now that I think about it, it satirized a number of wars- World War I with the trenches, as mentioned, and also World War II, as a number of songs from that era are parodied (“Don’t Sit Under the Pistachio Tree,” etc.) I think protests (such as those in Vietnam) were also mentioned.

These are World War I movies that I liked and recommend. Is only one person allowed to recommend a particular movie?

All I can think of is a few episodes of _The Young Indiana Jones._ Does that count?

Oh yeah! Eventually, someone actually DIED, and the war ended, and the media wouldn’t admit that someone died. You’re right, it was a pretty interesting metaphor.
