Sorry Anubis, but people have tried this before, and it doesn’t work. I believe it’s because you get a “view” when you first open the thread, and another after you post & it takes you back to the thread. So it’s at least an automatic 2 views for every post.

It won’t work for the very simple reason that for almost every post there will be two views - one upon opening the thread, and one after you submit your reply and it shows your reply to you. You have to know to surf somewhere else before that comes up. And the OP isn’t considered a post, so you always start out in the hole.
And the mods ain’t likely to help either - they have to look at the thread periodically just to make sure we’re playing by the rules.
Besides, there are enough contrarians around here that even if you could get around those problems, they would be working against you; and their job is easier.
Frankly, I’m on this board because I want to interact with smart, funny people - not because I want to play games with the software. If you want to do this, I can’t stop you; but I would much rather you find something interesting to talk about.
