God, this stuff is fascinating. I had a parent with cancer who got a blood clot and it was the cause of death (granted, it was inevitable that something was going to–it just beat everything else to the punch). I wasn’t in the room at the time, but on a walk; witnesses said it was really quick and didn’t look painful. I’ve been wondering about how it really happened, what was going on internally with this blood clot, and have had no one to ask. All this medical talk is really helpful.
