[QUOTE=Hippy Hollow]
It’s got nowt to do with Hector being attracted to men. It would be equally offensive to me if he was going after female students. The power differential between the adult responsible for evaluating the academic efforts of students and a pupil is such that I consider it way out of bounds.

Yeah, I get that. I still say that’s a matter of cultural context.

I just watched the film on HBO on Demand last night. It seemed a bit overly theatrical - yes, I know it was based on a play, but still. The banter was a bit beyond belief for a group of kids that age, even if they were considered intelligent and above average. Just found it a bit hard to believe that a group of boys that age would be like that - even back in the 1980’s.

However, I was glad to discover that I am not crazy and that [Frances de la Tour](http://newsimg.bbc.co.uk/media/images/38913000/jpg/_38913355_dance_death150.jpg) really does look like [Allison Janney](http://img2.photobucket.com/albums/v11/bolender/GGMiramaxParty/Janney.jpg) with bad make up.

And to think I watched a recent Harry Potter film and thought they did a great job of make up on Allison.

I was thinking Lily Tomlin.
