Looks like the mid-to-upper-80s here for the next week. Currently it’s 88ºF. The 10-Day forecast says we might have rain on the 5th and 6th. Still, it’s better than Seattle. I heard on the radio yesterday that it might hit 100. Ten or so degrees hotter than here? Maybe. Of course, come February I’ll be craving weather like this. ---

It has been consistently in the high 90s-low100s here for the last few weeks. Typical Inland Empire weather for July. It was late arriving, though, which makes me wonder about October. We could be in for a wet winter, which would be good for the water supply. Go, El Niño! ---

It has been consistently around 110 here every day. We’re fixin’ to break the record for the most consecutive days of above-75-degree lows, if that makes any sense. Plus it’s monsoon season, which means my evap cooler isn’t working with a shit. I’ve never sweat so much in my life. I am considering moving to Alaska for my impending perimenopausal stage of life. ---

NW Cable News is reporting 105º in Portland. Yikes! Seattle is currently reporting 94. ---

Is that an all-time record for Seattle? I lived there for four years and I don’t think I remember it ever hitting 95. Hell, an 85-degree day had people talking about the monster heat wave. ---

It has been in the 90s in Central Arkansas for weeks. Rain today, and the promise it will continue through the weekend. Humid, but a mere 78F 3:30 Tuesday afternoon. ---

Cooler than normal summer here in northern Iowa. Maybe one day the temp hit 90, mostly in the 70’s. Cool breeze out of the north today. ---

I’m sitting down here in Puyallup, WA where it is currently 102 degrees outside. I don’t plan on eating tonight, it’s too hot and I don’t have any appetite when it’s hot. ---

Good God. Is there rioting in the streets? …well, no, people are probably too hot to riot. Still, though, my mother-in-law lives in Seattle and often will talk about how unbearably hot it is when the temperature busts through the 80-degree mark. I hope she’s lying down in the bathtub with a wet towel over her head or something. ---

It regularly hits the 100 degree mark here in West Texas. But, of course, we’re also well prepared for it. My sister lives near Sammammish, Washington, but I haven’t heard anything from her about a heat wave. Everyone in the Pacific Northwest has my sympathies! I may be in West Texas, but I prefer your climate 🙂 ---

I just returned last Friday from San Antonio, TX where it was 105 with lots of humidity. Bleh. It seems the heat wave followed me. ---
