# Let's talk diabetes

WOW. Thanks, **Athena**. That was great. I didn’t know about all that. I’ve been reading a lot, too, and you put it better than anything I’ve read.

Maybe you should write a textbook or a guidebook or something.

Thanks for the kind words. Maybe I will!

I’ve been highly disappointed with the diabetes books marketed to patients. They just seem… dumbed down. I’m finding MUCH better info from stuff targeted to doctors. Sure, I have to look up some words, and there’s parts that I’m sure I don’t “get” as well as a doctor, but overall they’ve given me a much better view of the disease without the “spin” that the layperson books have.
