I got my BS in Journalism from Kent State University (in Ohio), where almost all of my profs had worked for Ohio newspapers, and I have never heard this claim. My media law professor was a lawyer with the Beacon…you’d think he would have brought this up.
She’s nuts. There’s no such law. I worked for a small Ohio paper before going to law school (the *Morning Journal * of Lisbon), and my editor would have laughed at the mere suggestion that he had to print every single letter. Sheer madness.
