Wow! I get a Pit-Thread of my very own! Finally! Can I humbly request that a mod change the topic of the thread to one more descriptive like “Fenris committed libel” or something? You don’t want to make [MEBuckner](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=106060) unhappy, do you? I’d consider it a personal favor. PLLLLLeeeeeaaaaze??? Anyway, a comple of responses: 1. It really was a lame site. All I remember are a bunch of pop-up ads. 2. Sorry **KGriffey** : the “It wuz jes’ a joke” excuse really is [pathetic](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=87747). And the site really was lame. 3. **Magnetout** : Actually, I’m omniscient, but I’m far to modest to talk about it. 😉 4. **Crorex** : Maybe he _is_ an arch-fiend who set this entire scheme up just to GET me! :eek: Lessee: [ul] [li] He’d have to post a link to a warez-wannabe site _knowing that I was on-line and ready to respond_.[/li][li] He had to know that I’d change his against-the-rules link, rather than just quoting it and repeating it, thus making one more link for the Mods to delete[/li][li] He then set Poster B to use the “edit the quote” technique that so incensed Poster A, because he _knew_ that Poster A would threaten to Poster B.[/li][li]AND on top of that, he knew that **Ed** would post that warning, with no verbiage about how it’s not retroactive.[/li][/ul] So this has all been ONE BIG SET-UP to get me banned! :eek: **Scylla** : By good ol’ **Kgriffy’s** theory, you’re actually imitating ME. Sorry, Fenris, but I think if we edited this thread and gave it a really _accurate_ title, we’d just piss off kgriffey79 even more. (How about “In which kgriffey79 makes a laughingstock of himself”–or was that title formula someone’s pet peeve?) 'Sides, that rule doesn’t really apply outside of boring, staid old Great Debates anyway. Down here, I think more creativity is encouraged (not that “libel” is gonna win anyone’s “Best Pit Thread Title” contest). And to everyone who’s making fun of poor kgriffey79 as being, ah, temporally challenged: To quote the great Khan Noonian Singh, “Revenge is a dish best served cold!” C’mon, Fenris, admit it–you never saw this one coming, now did you? Yep, I’m afraid the great Fenris has been caught with his pants down–I dunno how you’re gonna live down a public humiliation of this magntitude. (If you need to have your username changed, just e-mail TubaDiva or Lynn.) Of course, the _best_ way to take that cold, sweet\*, delayed-action revenge is to insinuate your way into the centers of power–you know, become a _Mod_ or something.
