But I suggest that you actually research liberalism, and you will find that there are many many varieties worldwide. But central to most (except in God Bless America) is the notion of liberty, individual rights, and minimal government intervention. After all, “liberal” and “liberty” both come from the Latin “liber” — meaning freedom. ---
