Now that there’s been a consensus on the answer, could I ask the OP: why do you think that the government would get to control a person’s assets (or even confiscate them entirely) just because the person is in prison? A person in prison is subject to the sentence of the Court, but they don’t lose all their civil rights simply from being imprisoned.
