That they knew of. Maybe the apatosaurs were breeding like bunnies, but were just doing a really good job of hiding (Hammond should never have included those 200 gallons of red toenail polish in the island’s supplies).

WHich doesn’t make complete sense given that the hunter guy says the ‘alpha’ killed all but the other 2 in the enclosure.

There are ‘alot’ more in the second movie working together.
