# Lifehacker.com oddness?

Anyone else looking at [Lifehacker.com](http://Lifehacker.com) this week? Normally their site has all sorts of sidebars etc, but right now when I go to the URL, the banner says “backup site”. Today, it says “backup site covered by State Farm”. And there’s a lot less content than usual.
I’m guessing their normal servers are in an area affected by Sandy; anyone know if this is what’s going on?

Yes, that is what’s going on. Gawker Media and their servers are located smack dab in the middle of lower Manhattan. You know, the dark part.
