Is this any good? I’ve begun hearing ads on the radio for this product. It seems to promote pain relief/healing though light (or something).

I looked it up on the web last night [here](http://www.lightforcetherapy.com/) and apparently it works using infra-red light (actually, they just say red light). Is this any different than using heat lamps? Are they just miniture heat lamps?

Does anyone know if it’s worth the $1,199 - $1,999 they want for them?

From their website:

> SPECIAL NOTE: The Super Nova and Acubeam emit energy in the infrared spectrum to provide topical heating for the purpose of elevating tissue temperature for the temporary relief of minor muscle and joint pain, arthritis, muscle spasm, relieving stiffness and promoting relaxation of muscle tissue.

You’re paying $1200 for a high tech hot water bottle.

Absolutely, positively not. It’s a “heat lamp” that you can buy at your local hardware store for $10-20.
