# Lightning and Metal Bleachers

Say I am at track practice and the track coach is making us run the bleachers. If there is lightning present am I at risk of getting killed or shocked if it struck the bleachers? What would happen?

If you’re touching the metal and it gets hit, you could be fucked. If you’re just near by, prolly not too much, as the metal is a pretty good conductor of electricity and will prolly just flow down to the earth, leaving you pretty much alone…
