Considering that the odds of being struck by lightning are always presented as some astronomical number, I wonder what the odds were that someone would be struck on a tongue stud by lightning? ---

So how ya doin’ Mermaid? Are yours of the lightning rod type or the grounded type? Can I see them? (BTW, lighting is NOT funny. My boat was hit by lightning a couple years ago and suffered some very serious damage. I was lucky I was not on it at the time.) ---

Another reason not to. Not that I needed any. “Ah ub mah ta rin,” one might say. (What’s up with that anyway?) That’s fine if you love yours. I do think they are attractive in many cases. I like piercings moreso than many tattoos. Although, some of those are very cool also. Which reminds me, _XXX_ (Vin Diesel) is, quite possibly, the most cliched and stupid movie ever made. Why do we pay for the movie channels again? Oh yeah, DSL. Never mind. ---

I think if it hadn’t been the toungue stud, it would have been her underwire bra (if she was wearing one), a necklace, etc… Lighting is finicky, but who’s to say it wasn’t going to strike her anyway and just happened to choose the tongue as a point to make contact? ---
