Say what you will about JD Vance, he ain’t stoopid. JD has to understand that is best opportunity to become President is by deposing Trump via the 25th. Sure, he may only “serve” out the rest of the term, but he would in fact be President if only for s short while. ---

They have their own self-interests in mind, which they clearly judge are better served if the boat is not shaken He’s smart enough to realize that, as well. His best chance, which isn’t very good at all, is still to try to finagle his way to being a successor than by attempting a palace coup. Or, I suppose, that’s his best chance he can control to any degree (also poor). His actual best chance is to hope Trump’s health fails him sooner rather than later. ---
