It should be an even, dark green all over, with almost no hint of any other color. When you squeeze it, it should give very slightly; unripe limes will be hard as golf balls, while overripe ones will be squishy. ---

If, after 8 or 9 tequilla shots, you find that you are feeling a little dizzy and unwell, then you’ve definitely got yourself an unripe lime. * * * It only hurts when I laugh. ---
