The second picture is actually newer than the others. She’s my age, I think, so that was a few years ago— probably 20/21. It was right around the time she got all crazy anorexic with Nicole Richie. ---

As a long time luster after Jennifer Aniston, I was once, while unemployed, out to spend my last couple of pounds on food. In the shop there was a sealed" Mans Interest" magazine, with pics of J.A. on the cover showing skin, and the title J.A. Bares All!. So instead of buying food I got the mag, (It was probably an ancestor of mine who sold the cow for a handful of magic beans). When I got home, nothing! Not so much as a nipple, let alone the good bits. “Baring All” was about her talking about her emotional problems (Plus a nice little con by the magazine publishers). As its her body that I’m interested in, not her mind, it was a huge, (and hungry) let down. ---

Lohan actually seemed a very talented actress – she was quite good in **Mean Girls** , for instance. But after that, she got out of control and self-destructed. ---

I only ask because with the internet, I’d think a kid who’d want to get to pornography would find it without too much trouble. Playboy is far too tame for the internet porno generation. I’ve seen far too much on the internet to think that hard copy magazines would have any sort of circulation to keep them alive. Although with Playboy, it’s only slightly more explicit than the SI swimsuit issue, so the people that subscribe to Playboy probably get their porno elsewhere. (Assuming they are looking for that) For 2 bucks, maybe Playboy is worth it for the content. ---

I realize it’s cliche to say I read Playboy “for the articles” but that’s pretty much the case. I do know what the internet is, and believe me, I know enough about internet porn to keep up with any post-pubescent teen boy whose parents don’t monitor his web use. But I’m also enough of a dinosaur to believe there’s still a place for the low-tech paper and ink approach in today’s world. Magazines are ideal for relaxing on the couch after I’ve been staring at computer screens all day. Like I said, I enjoy a good portion of Playboy’s content. And if I can finish reading an insightful interview with, say, Martin Scorcese, then turn the page and see some pretty ladies with nice boobs – even if the pictures are “far too tame” – I’m cool with that.
