Yeah; I’m not sure that’s quite how that works, either. I’m pretty sure I’d recognize the guy who crapped in the elevator if I saw him again, and I bet he doesn’t know me. I don’t think that means he’s winning. ---

Add to that the fact that she believes that her parents being doctors magically gives her special insights into the medical world, and the fact that at 23 she thinks she knows how to raise other peoples children and claims to have raised a teenager by virtue of having a younger brother … well, if you can’t see why people make fun of her for that thread, I can’t help you. ---

I was unaware of **lindsaybluth** prior to this thread, and I have to say - my defense of her OP in the other thread notwithstanding - that based upon some of her comments in this thread I’m beginning to see why so many people have an issue with her. Her crack about **lorene’s** (alleged lack of) intelligence is a good example. ---

I agree, I mean if you’re talking about someone you thought was trashy what’s wrong with mentioning that they are also overweight? Its just describing her more in detail. Whats wrong with saying someone is obese? Malchik gey pokazhi mne lyubov ---

What would the reaction be if she had said “this black woman asked who was talking to my mom…”. It doesn’t matter. She didn’t describe the person in any other way, so it’s pretty clear that it was just meant to be a slam. Particularly since \*\*lindsay \*\*has made her judgemental thoughts about weight clear in other threads (eg., the one where she complained about her MIL’s terrible parenting skills because the kids were _gasp_ overweight). ---

Lindsay has a long history of being nasty about fat people, she’s very clear about her belief that being fat is a character flaw and a moral failing and in children, evidence of poor parenting. So when she describes someone as “obese” it’s Lindsay shorthand for “not a good person.” She’s very judgmental, and I don’t think age or upbringing has as much to do with it as just her personality. Her kind of arrogance is borne out of something else, and it’s nothing nice. ---

Actually, I’ve oftne found grace and intelligence go hand in hand. Anybody can be an ill-mannered shlub, but it takes intelligence and training - and a fairly sharp and alert mind - to consistently behave with grace, given the endless struggles placed in its way. ---

Other than apologizing to \*\*lorene \*\*- awkwardly - for a clearly-mistaken quote attribution - you haven’t demonstrated much willingness to listen to what folks are telling you.
