# lindsaybluth, please provide a cite

Your claim doesn’t seem too likely to me, based on [the statements in this thread](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=596252) about throwing water on an unruly child, especially **lorene** ’s posts, which seem to applaud the water thrower and express no sympathy for the parents of the wild child:

I suppose it’s possible that somewhere else, **lorene** did a complete 180 and described letting children scream in public, but I sure can’t find that post and it runs counter to the posts I did find.
