# Linear, Threaded or Hybrid

Just like the title says: When surfing the dope what display mode do you use: linear, threaded or hybrid?

I use linear, and the reason I am asking is I sometimes wonder if a debate is structured the way it is because of how people are viewing it…

I prefer linear. Threaded is ok if you’re only reading through a thread once, but if you read the same thread multiple times I find it impossible to keep track of what I’ve already read.

Linear; didn’t ever notice it was an option here until you asked. I’ve used threaded style before on other boards, but always found it vaguely annoying.
