**Please do not bump up any zombie threads if they are older than a year or two.** That being said, what was your first thread made on here? Are you able to find it? [I was.](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=203818) In that thread, There’s a surprising amount of posters who are still active (by active, I’m defining it as “having been active in the last month or so”). They are: **ivylass** , **Ino** , **FairyChatMom** , **Rico, Lsura, Tomndebb, Casey1505, wolf\_meister, Jonathan Chance, Ellen Cherry, AncientHumanoid, Smeghead, Mtgman, lieu, ioioio, imthjckaz, urban1a, lel,** and **Scribble**. Nineteen posters from my first topic still active. Can anyone beat that? But more importantly, I’m curious what your first topic was. ---

OK, so I’m going to show my age. My first thread was thread number 8 on this board. It’s so old that my name doesn’t show at the top (it just says “guest” - that is due to the Winter of Missed Content and a backup copy of the board at the time being restored. It’s dated 3/16/1999. Fortunately I thought to sign my name to it - and I got a response from the Master himself on it! It’s hard to search for ubb version 1 threads. ubb version 2 threads have the user name (they were properly converted when we moved to vBulletin) but the even-older ubb version 1 threads all show up as “guest” (the vBulletin conversion messed them up for some reason) Still-active posters on the thread: **Stoid, Gaudere, Doctor Jackson** ---

[This one is mine](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=405919). It looks like **Quartz, Shagnasty, Muffin, Sage Rat, CairoCarol,** and **Cat Whisperer** are still here and posting, some 10 years on. I suppose that’s not too surprising considering how many long-term posters we have here. Two things jump out at me reading that old thread… first, there was a 4 1/2 year gap between my first and second thread. I can’t explain that. Maybe it was the pay-to-post era? And second, I really, really miss my old username, **Thylacinidae**. ---
