Sorry if this has been answered, but I have had hardly any sleep today because a friend of mine died in a skydiving accident yesterday.

What I want to know is, is it okay with y’all if I post a link to this thread

**Quasi** , first let me express my sympathy on your friend’s death and your grief. Second, IANAMod, obviously, but it’s my distinct impression that the only objections this board has to the posting of links are (1) where it will cause an interboard war, or seems likely to, and (2) links that will cause severe strain on the server are discouraged. Don’t assume I have the Straight Dope on this, but I’m fairly sure that that answer is accurate, pending a Mod. seeing and confirming or correcting this.

Thanks **Polycarp** , for answering me. I went ahead and e-mailed **tubadive** , but haven’t heard anything as of yet. I posted the link to here. if I’m in trouble over it, I guess I’ll find out soon enough.

I didn’t see your posting nor your request earlier, as I was spending the weekend at Barber Raceway in Leeds . . . so I do understand so much, on so many levels.

I’m sorry you have lost a friend. It is cold consolation knowing he was doing that which he loved best, the thing that made life worth living.
