# Linking a Pit post about trolling to another thread

I suppose we could use a linking thread. It would probably be a pain in the butt to use, but I believe it would fully solve the issue.

For example, I will add a (double) link to a post in the test thread from here without this thread’s title appearing in that post in the test thread.

[Here’s a link](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/linked-from-another-thread/1003090) that will eventually lead to a post by @Pleonast in the test thread.

It does work but it is indeed a big pain in the butt. In the test thread, the backlink shows the title of the interim thread, which is harmlessly titled “Linked from another thread.”
