I have seen the links section in the coding guide, altho’ I am not really sure how to do it.

I also wonder how to provide a link to, say, thread X, that shows up as a highlighted word in the post, such as "Look {here}. Could someone help me?

Thanx,
Abe

It’s easy. Just type it thus:

{url=“[http://www.straightdope.com](http://www.straightdope.com)”}The Straight Dope{/url}, using square brackets of course, and whatever website and text you want to use.

A helpfull hint in all coding is to use the “quote” button to see what someone else has done…

Here is a link to [another thread](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?threadid=100892) for ya - where I got the URL by opening the other thread in a seperate window and just copying from the address bar.

Gp
