# Linux Users LVM problem am I SOL?

I have a Suse system running LVM. Naturally I have been remiss in my backups and now have a severe problem.
One drive out of three is now dead. The heads appears to be stuck based on the sounds it is making. The drive is in the freezer in the hopes that by freezing the drive it will unstick the heads.
The data on this drive is not worth what it would cost me to send out for repair.
Is there any way to recover the data on the two other drives if this drive will not cooperate with me?

From [this page](http://e2salvage.sourceforge.net/#e2retrieve) and others, it appears that LVM2 has a --partial mode that will allow you to mount the remaining disks and retrieve the data written on them.
