**Lissener** , as much as your first post in that thread was so goddamn on-the-money it isn’t even funny, that was still some pretty blatant threadshitting. There isn’t a big enough eye-roll smiley in existence for that conversation topic, in my opinion, but they’re allowed to have it without being openly ridiculed in CS. A careful reading of **lissener** ’s justification reveals that the real crime was not just threadshitting, but also the much worse offense of assuming that Peter Jackson’s movies are perfect reflections of Tolkien’s authorial intent.
