How do you know this? How do you know it wasn’t killed by a predator?
I hardly think that if I were to fling you bodily from my house you would be described having left my house. At least not by reasonable people.

People have used this as an excuse to dreg up his struggle with depression and hording. You yourself called him a sociopath. Mocking a real mental disorder and accusing him of having another very rare one qualifies as a lack of perspective in my book.

You’re right, and I appologize. I should not have said that. What I mean to say to **MeanOldLady** (NOT **lissener** \*) was to chill. However, I the way I said it was wrong.
\*As for what I DID say to **lissener** , I stand by it. He may not be a true sociopath, but he’s a sick fucking asshole, and being mentally ill does NOT excuse one from being called out for being one. I myself have gone through depression, and am on meds for OCD. It doesn’t mean I can just turn around and say, “I can’t HELP it – I have a disorder!!!” Sorry, it doesn’t work that way. I don’t approve of the treatment of the cat. In fact, one of my best friends just had an issue with her cat spraying. She has a daughter almost the exact age of my youngest, and she felt that she simply couldn’t tolerate the spraying. So she worked to re-home the animal, with a couple who loves animals and had the time and patience to work with the cat. I’ve taken in cats for “friends” who were less responsible than that, so believe me when I say that I don’t exactly approve.
I just feel pretty strongly that his treatment of the animal shouldn’t give other people carte blanche to make fun of Lissener for having depression/hoarding issues. That’s just not fair, because you are exactly right, it doesn’t have jack-all to do with the cat incident. I hate to see this become the kind of place where people can’t seek any kind of support, because that vulnerability will be exploited later. Call Lissener a twatwaffle for the cat incident all day long, that’s a sentiment I can get behind. To me, the mocking of unrelated issues are indicative of the lack of perspective **Mean Old Lady** was talking about.

Oh, please. **Lissener** has been spraying cat piss all over this board for years. These issues are not “unrelated.” They’re all part and parcel of his remarkable assholishness.
It makes no sense to limit the discussion to only one aspect of his assholishness. The other aspects are necessary to put it in the necessary context.
And speaking of dragging in seemingly unrelated issues–I actually sat through Showgirls because of him! It’s not the two hours of my life that I wasted that I’m pissed about though. It’s the fact that he has hijacked so many otherwise interesting movie threads with his bizarro interperetations and condescending soliloquies. Is that related to the cat incident? Yes. He’s so self-centered that he doesn’t care what effect his actions have on others. He kills good threads. He very likely killed that cat. But what difference does it make to him? His own desires will always trump the needs and wants of others.
I do find him thoroughly entertaining in a totally trainwrecky way, however.
