I read that Mao was fond of ma-la Sichuan food, with a characteristic combination of hot peppers and Sichuan peppercorns. ---

I saw a documentary once (I think it was “Human Remains”—it had tidbits and recollections about various dictators, but read by a narrator in the first person. Odd effect, that) that said he liked Green Tea…at the very least, using instead of brushing his teeth. :eek: ---

If you’re looking for something to watch during your meal, it’s been reported that Kim Jong Il is a fan of Daffy Duck cartoons, and legend has it _King Kong_ was Hitler’s favorite movie. ---

I have read (no cite) that as early as 1940, Dr. Morell was injecting Hitler with doses of methamphetamines and vitamins, and that these drugs contributed to Hitler’s mental instabilities in later years-his generals remarked on the fact that Hitler would go for days without sleep, and awaken his staff for meetings in the night hours. ---

The chicken dish that Stalin supposedly loved is called [Kanatšahhohbili](http://www.nami-nami.ee/recipe.php?q=detail&pID=7302&). Took me a while to find a recipe for it because I wasn’t getting the spelling right. It’s pretty tasty stuff. ---
