This is hard! today…I’ve spent no money yesterday…I didn’t spend any money Tuesday…tank of gas, almond snickers bar and a lotto ticket Monday…bag of nuts, dinner at T-Rex, lent $40 to a friend Sunday…money in the offering plate at church, mushrooms & leeks at the farmer’s market, milk & wine & misc. groceries from Trader Joe’s ---

Just looked at my debit card history, and it’s pretty boring. Three doctor visits for my wife and daughter, three trips to the drugstore to pick up prescriptions from said doctor visits, $23 for dog grooming/nail trimming, the mortgage, $2 for cheap disposable bowls that my mother-in-law needed for some reason, and my wife and kid’s lunch at Rosa’s Mexican Cafe. Dull as dishwater. It’s more fun to make up a list. Let’s see, from oldest to newest: Rope - $5.66 Kitchen knife - $24.99 Duct tape - $3.50 Black hoodie - $14.95 Trash bags - $6.84 Shovel - $22.88 Hair dye - $10.14 Plane ticket to Mexico - $387 Spanish - English phrasebook - $12.99 Pina Colada - 39 pesos ---

Working backwards: Today: $7.00 - Holiday Station - two 12-packs of Diet Coke $52.00 - Walgreens - Scrip for TheKid, clearance sale stuff, shampoo, cough syrup, lozenges $9.00 - Subway - tuna on white for TheKid, subclub on wheat for me $15.00 - Dr’s Office - co-pay for TheKid Yesterday: $7.00 - McDonalds - didn’t feel like making dinner $8.00 - Parking - had to be in office Wednesday: $50.00 - TheKid’s school for lunch I can’t remember what else there was. We did grocery and critter shopping Sunday, I bought cigarettes Monday… ---
