I do say “Yes Master” when he starts bossing me around. He uses “Yes Dear” when I’m being a bit of a nag. He only used “Yes Mother” once. 😉 And we also tend to call each other Love. (Our cats are called Rat - and my neices are Monkey) ---

My ex called me: Sunflower, Snowflake, Grasshopper, and IIRC kitten I’ve called him: Papasan, Sensei, Sweetie , Big Daddy Dick and his favorite “multi-talented” I liked being called sunflower, but now everytime I see a sunflower, real or otherwise, I think of him. ---

All names are mutual: most common is bun, bun-bun, bunny, snugglebunny. (NEVER honeybun.) Also love, sweetie. And occasionally ‘thing’ and ‘wotsit’. ---

I call him “M’lord”. He calls me “M’lady”. Ummm, don’t pick on me, ok? We have some serious RPG/Shakespeare/medieval/LOTR issues so **DON’T** go there! Tee hee! I call him “babe”. He calls me “baby”. This is bedroom stuff, sometimes the M’lord/M’lady thing creeps in. **DON’T** make fun of me! Meanies!! I call him “Gwayne” due to our mutual liking for knights/fairy tales. He calls me “Buttercup” from The Princess Bride. I call him “my manly manroot”. he calls me his “lil’ knobgobbler”. Hmm, more bedroom banter. Man… is that all we ever _do_?? I guess it is… When he’s in a silly mood, I’m “sugar butt or sugar lips” When I’m in a silly mood, he’s “Mr. Man”. ---

I don’t have an SO, but tend to call my kid and other special people in my life such things as punkin, monkeyboy, dude, and kiddo. Had a friend once who used to call me sunshine, which always left me with warm fuzzies and my all time favorite term of endearment is darlin. ---

Senor karomon likes to comically mispronounce things. He calls me moong-kee (monkey), p’aybee (baby), and bongbong. I don’t know what that last one’s supposed to be. I call him mongo. That one comes with a story - him and I taught English in Korea for a little while. The younger kids were always teasing and playing around, calling each other “mongo” to mean “stupid”. We just assumed it was some weird kid slang until one day we heard another teacher carrying on in his class. Aside from the usual obscenities, we heard him call some of the kids “dumb mongols”. They couldn’t have understood most of what he was saying, but they understood the context. So, to them “mongo” meant “dumb”. Well, I thought it was funny.
