At least I got the chance to get the frustrations out, and will be able to be gracious at the ceremony and reception. Thank you all for your patience with this. ---

BTW, for anyone in the distant future who reads this thread and not the other one: [http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?threadid=181807](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?threadid=181807) I’d like to cite the Kansas statute that makes sex with a girl who is under 16 a felony, regardless of the man’s age and regardless of how “aggressive” the girl might be claimed to have been: KS ST § 21-3503. Just for accuracy in the future and to clarify one of my other posts on this thread, not to re-open a question that has been thoroughly discussed on the thread I’ve posted above. ---

Nice form there Daffy.:dubious: **IF** as you assert you had indeed read this thread as thoroughly as you claim, you would have noticed that I had posted the link to that thread quite a while back, when I first made it. Coming here to further spew the "dirt’ on my husband is a cheap, nasty shot! Further it’s a hijack. It’s also a primitive diversionary tactic. You must know you have erred badly, to flail and point so wildly now. :rolleyes: I am left wondering: What crimes have you commited, that you have to point the finger at people who are tied to individuals you have just “met”? DROP IT YOU SHRILL CREATURE! You have not, so far as I have seen stated that YOU have seen this statute enforced, nor how it is interpreted. I have!!! (The way a law is interpreted is generally the accepted measurement as to whether or not an action is a crime.) :smack: Why are you so pre-occupied with the fact that two teenagers under the age of 16 were once lovers? :dubious: How does trumpeting this fact prove that the insults you hurled at me and my spouse are “rooted in fact”? When you did this, you won my enduring enimity. (This may someday change, but I will remain a skeptic about her true nature for a long while.) ---

If that’s what life in Kansas is like, I can understand why Dorothy was happy to get away to Oz. But holy flurking schmidt, the upcoming wedding sounds like an ordeal I would never go through. In fact, I’d leave town, find a new job, and go get myself a whole new crop of friends who were closer to _sane_! ---

Sadly, I can see the wisdom in the words of the people who have made variations on this statement. What can I say? People have done “crazier” things for the sake of the people they love. ---
