With regard to the question of [whether or not you can get drunk on Listerine:](http://www.straightdope.com/columns/050204.html) I work in a detox facility and we have one room that I have christened the “Listerine Room” due to the lingering odour. So yeah, you can get completely hammered if you are so inclined. The real question, I believe, is why would you? (Well, o.k., that’s long and complicated and philosophical…) ---
