# Little Free Library

My neighbor’s daughter just picked up her Little Free Library this weekend. [Here’s a picture of my finished product.](http://64.136.20.22/3389835_l.JPG) Thanks to the[kindness of a local doper](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=716743), **malden** , I was able to put slate on the sides of the LFL and put chalk inside so people can write notes or draw pictures on it. The roof is covered in copper and mini cedar shakes (made from cedar shims) are shingles for the sides and back. The plan is that both the copper and cedar will patina and change color over time to create a richer look.
