I’m taking bets: Who wants to bet that Toto, whose request was denied, will disappear, to be replaced by “someone else who uses the same computer”, as discussed above? Proving again that there’s more than one way to go around a bureaucratic roadblock. ---

Your refusal to address the quite cogent point-by-point expose of the situation from **Santos L Halper** makes it look like you are afraid to admit to error (a silly position on a message board; admitting error is both cathartic and sociable). I’m taking bets: wanna bet that more people obtained a relatively negative opinion of the mods/administrators or of **According to Pliny**? 😛 ---

I am assuming that creating a new user name after so much time (and there is no way can I remember my old one, especially since I rarely posted here) would be OK…right? My IP and email have obviously changed as well (and my IP will natuarally change anyway, as I am using WIFI) ---

Note Lots of names were lost in the Winter of Lost Content when the board went down, so if you sort of remember the name and can’t find it that’s what might have happened. The only thing that you might be missing out on is the “glory” of your old post count and start date. If you ever do recall what you came to post though, you might try to look it up that way. Lots of people start with a burning question for Cecil, and you question will still be searchable on unique words. If so, and you want to reconnect with the old name, email an Administrator to swap your account back, to conflate your new name with the old date and posts. They honor all reasonable requests. ---
