Mrs. Mallard is probably the great-great-great-great-grandmother of the poor sexually confused duck in the current story arc of Mark Trail that’s being savaged at the Comics Curmudgeon… \*The story arc’s being savaged (and Mark Trail in general), not the poor duck. ---

As a cartoonist myself, I wish strips would disappear upon the deaths of their creators, but Annie Warbucks and Dick Tracy have an international name recognition that most newer characters lack. ---
