Remember all those doom and gloom stories about gang violence in NY and LA? Well, that pretty much went away. This really sounds like “Well, in my day, kids had respect, damnit!” and “Get off my lawn!” more than anything else. But to reiterate, there definitely are bad apples and there’s certainly shocking behavior in small children, but that’s always been the case. It’s just that the internet has given us a great tool for selective memory and confirmation bias.
