My choir’s performance of _The Dream of Gerontius_, by Elgar, will be broadcast live from the Sydney Opera House on Wednesday night (19 November), in a concert starting at 8.00pm\* Australian eastern summer time. The orchestra and choir will be conducted by Vladimir Ashkenazy. We had our first rehearsal with Mr Ashkenazy last night and it was great fun. It’s a fantastic work and I’m really looking forward to the performances.

If you’d like to listen in (especially **Malacandra** , who I know loves Gerontius), go to [ABC Classic FM](http://www.abc.net.au/classic/) and click on the **Listen Now** link.

There’s been a change. It will now be the Thursday night performance (20 November) that will be broadcast.

Just a bump because the concert starts in six hours’ time.
