It was ten years ago, maybe more. There used to be a sports bar/restaurant sort of place on the first floor below Jillian’s billiard club on Lansdowne. It was not too long after I moved here and went there to catch some out-of-town football games when I was feeling homesick.

I don’t think the machine lasted there very long. I don’t know if there were PETA protests or anything. I’m not a huge sentimentalist, but even I thought it was a little morally dubious to be gambling with the lives of these creatures on something as frivolous as a toy crane.

Take that, _Toy Story_!
