Is there a video some where showing Led Zeppelin doing _Kashmir_ with full orchestra on the web? I thought I saw it a while back, but can’t seem to find it now. ---

I think that is the Plant & Page tour and not technically Led Zep. I saw one of the shows in New Jersey they did on that tour and that was what I immediately thought of when I saw the thread title. Maybe tge Atlantic Records 40th anniversary concert? I remember it closed with Plant, Page, Jones, and Jason Bonham doing Kashmir. Maybe with an orchestra… Joe ---

I’m not feeling charitable towards Led Zeppelin these days. I shoot School of Rock performances. The School has a long history with Zep, performing their songs regularly. In order to apply to become an “All-Star”, one of the top players in each local school and form a band with kids from other schools and tour, they have to submit a Led Zeppelin cover. I shoot the concert and put songs up on YouTube. The content ID system identifies the song and tells me that ads from the record company will appear next to the video. Everybody happy. That’s not good enough for Zep. No, they are actually blocking the videos I shot of _Kashmir_ and _The Battle of Evermore_ in the US! ---

Also Plant & Page own the rights to their songs or is it Capitol? The odds are it is a corporation like Capitol, whose lawyers and bean counters just do this in every case. I doubt it is Plant & Page. ---

That is the way with every other artist the School of Rock kids have covered on my channel. I shoot something like 22 School of Rock concerts per year. Each show focuses on either a specific band or a genre. During the last season, I shot tributes to The Stones, The Doors, Metallica, 60s Rock, Protest Rock, Grunge Rock and Pink Floyd (the kids did [The Dark Side of the Moon with the Wizard of Oz being projected on them](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UTJ7JFhLoAU).) Almost all of them have “Matched third party content”, and say that an ad will appear next to it. Which is fine by me. Only Led Zeppelin actually blocks content. They have a very restrictive policy, and that extends to film-makers as well, like them famously refusing to license _Stairway to Heaven_ for _Almost Famous_. ---

Don’t know, but there is an extension to the tailpiece, too. Since Kashmir is played in DADGAD tuning, could it be an aftermarket Robot tuner with push buttons for diff tunings?? ---

Cool - thanks for the find. My guess was correct! I wonder if AxCent is who Gibson bought when they started making Robot (i.e., their own self-tuning) Guitars. That was a German company…need to check when I have a minute… ---

I believe the OP is referring to the Jimmy Page and Robert Plant (Unledded) [No Quarter concert](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/No_Quarter:_Jimmy_Page_and_Robert_Plant_Unledded), filmed in Morocco, Wales, and London. I have the dvd and haven’t watched it in ages. Thanks for reminding me!
