I can’t think of any big names of MALE actors from the glory years, the only actress that springs to mind is Bacall. ---

First, the name is **Walloon**. Those actors _are_ from the 1930-1950s. Jackie Cooper was a movie star by 1931, and received a Best Actor Oscar nomination that same year. Mickey Rooney made his first movie in 1925, and was a movie star by 1938. He became America’s #1 box office draw in 1939. Kirk Douglas starred in his first movie in 1946, and received his first Best Actor Oscar nomination in 1950. Richard Todd was a movie star by 1949, and received a Best Actor Oscar nomination in 1950. Marlon Brando starred in his first movie in 1950, and received his first Best Actor Oscar nomination in 1952. John Mills made his first movie in 1932, was a movie star by the 1940s. Dan O’Herlihy made his first movie in 1947, and was nominated for the Best Actor Oscar in 1955. Ernest Borgnine made his first movie in 1951, and won the Best Actor Oscar in 1956. And on and on. Trust me, all of these actors became stars in the period 1930-1960.
