It always convinces me that I can write one more email before leaving; if I actually drop everything and try to leave, my moron brain makes me forget 4 things before I actually get out of the door for good. I also have a lazy brain. And my moron brain likes to take over my motor functions, too, resulting in constant bruising. My adult brain steps in to scream “this is going to hurt”, but it’s always too late to keep me from running into tables, hitting my head on the desk when I bend over to pick up something I dropped, etc. ---
