Does she cry alone, in the shower? I can’t tell. Someone important had to come to her house to explain “nobody likes you and you’re bad at everything, now fuck off” and if she doesn’t cry in the shower that’s not a normal thing. But I can’t tell. ---

A week to find a successor! It took them all summer to find Liz. They must have someone lined up, surely. Because they can’t take two candidates to the members, it has to be a coronation. So they’ve got a week to bang teh heads of Braverman, Mordaunt, Sunak and anyone else who is looking at this shitshow and thinking “Yes, this is my moment”. (Or, you know, call an election. But they won’t do that.) ---

A lot of that time was because they had to take in votes from the wider party (I think postal votes) and Liz and Rishi had to tour the country doing local hustings. This leadership election is only for the Parliamentary party, which means they should be able to do it pretty quickly because they’re all in the same place. It only took a week or so for the Westminster party to whittle the last lot down the final two before it went to the wider membership. ---
