It’s an oxygen tube coming from the nasal cannula he’s wearing in the [photo](http://www.allvoices.com/contributed-news/15912168/image/101623066-billy-graham-franklin-graham-edward-graham-rupert-murdoch-bill-marriott-jr-talk-at-a) **John Mace** linked to above. The tank it’s connected to can be seen hanging from the rear of his wheelchair.

Exactly what expression would these pseudo-humans have if they knew their savior had dark skin, dark hair, and brown eyes? We’d probably hear Palin yak about how the Mexicans “always get their way.”

House elves use traditional SVO syntax, they just avoid pronouns most of the time. You are thinking of the classic SOV order used by Dagoban Jedi Masters and the majority of humans on the earth.
