Ummm… actually… no, they’re right. Ferchrisssakesss they have a point! Just for the record, our football players wear pads because in the early days of the sport, players were being seriously injured and even killed quite frequently. If you have a better solution I’d like to hear it. ---

I really like other forms of football, hell I co-founded an aussie-rules football club in high school, but I do occasionally get tired of hearing the old, old joke about “needing all those pads just to play rugby(aussie rules etc.)”. (blame the brits, they beat that one into the ground:)) ---
