There are plenty of sports and sports news on Canadian TV. It’s just that broadcasters would rather Canadians watch their specialty sports channels (there are maybe six or seven of such channels in any given region), instead of their network news. There are enough games, recaps, highlights, commentary, critique, and so on, on the sports channels, to satisfy even the most die-hard sports fan.
