Well, here in Seattle, the local talk radio stations just forced me to the final decision to convert to satellite. They have decided to schedule the afternoon talk idiot on one station to replace Stern in the morning on their sister station. I used to listen to this station in the morning (6:00 to 9:00)to hear locals talking about local stuff after Stern went into replay (I get up absurdly early), and back to Stern after 9:00. But now the other station has completely changed format to _country!_ :eek: (In Seattle!?!?!?) So I will have nothing to listen to after Stern is gone - I gotta go to Sirius. Can someone educate me on what I need to buy? I need a portable radio I can bring to work, but still take home on the weekends, unless there’s a package available with a home unit and a portable unit too. I’m pissed that they’ve eliminated two talk stations at once, so I’m really looking forward to satellite. I can’t get AM in my building, which limits my choices - is this going to be an issue with satellite? How is the reception with this stuff? Teach me in time to take advantage of the Christmas sales! ---
