My current one is WyFy followed by numbers which suggest our street address, but which are in fact the street address numbers of a nearby house. Since I don’t broadcast my SSID, I figure anyone who gets that far will have nefarious intent and there’s no reason to aid them in digging further. Previously, I have used SKYNET and something in the vein of “FBI Surveillance Van.” The latter struck me as too encouraging to would-be malcontents. ---

The FBI/Surveillance Van/FCC monikers are overdone and used ubiquitously. I’ve even seen ones like that come up at the airport, probably from some nerd’s phone. Most creative one I saw was PornhubFreeHotSpot. It was unsecure and I’m sure used as a honey pot to capture data. ---

I get bored with mine and change it every few months or so. I live in a rural area so I don’t see too many other signals. Most of mine are Star Trek related and the current name is “Borg Collective”. ---

Similar to **Teuton** , I stole Pretty Fly 4 A Wi-Fi from an internet list of funny WiFi names. The only other good one in our neighborhood is It Hurts When IP. ---

Somebody in my building has named theirs “Funkshit.” Not sure what that’s about. Everything else (including mine) is the Fios default name, except for the one Xfinity customer in the building. Who also happens to be the only person who’s left his wifi unsecured. ---

Ten years or so ago someone who worked on the floor beneath my office had an unsecured network with the router manufacturer name in the SSID. This was back when many networks were unsecured. So I looked up the default admin password for that router, which of course worked, and changed the SSID to “Bonerland.” ---
