I’ve noticed that a lot of the women on this board really like guys with long hair. Frankly, I don’t see what the attraction is. My husband had long hair when we first started dating, but frankly, I think he looks much better now that it is short. When I see a good-looking guy with long hair, I’m always thinking “Wow, if he looks good now, think of how handsome he’d be with a haircut!” So, what is it about long hair that makes some women go wild? Note: I am in no way prejudiced against guys with long hair. After all they can’t all be starving musicians and dirty hippies, right? 😉 I just think that a man’s neck is sooo sexy, why hide it? ---

LOL Tatertot, I have seen some men that look so great with long hair and some that have no business having long hair. I have first met men with long hair then cut it, eeewwww, grow it back please. On the other end I have rarely met a man with short hair that grows it out. For me I don’t mind how long or short it is. I have dated men with all lengths of hair, including two that were balding on top. It’s in his eyes, I loooove eyes. ---

When I was a very young girl my father and brother were watching a movie that I wasn’t allowed to see. I snuck in the living room and of course looked anyway, on the TV there was a native American guy with long hair who said “I want every woman in America to feel my hair between their legs” and well that pretty much sealed the deal for me. Shocked the hell out of me… Whereas more attractive posters than I posted pictures and the reaction was slight. Think of it as the “peacock effect.” Peacocks draw attention to their feather plumage, not their legs or beak! We humans are still animals, and the easiest thing to draw onto in the case of long-haired men is exactly that. Satan honey…WARN a person before you repost that sucker! I fell out of the damn chair here! 😉 As for the OP - I agree with techchick. Some guys look great with long hair, and some look MUCH better with short hair. Too much time around Marines for me. I like it short. Hubby had the long “rock-star” hair when we got married and that was fine. I liked guys with long hair in my teenage and early college years. It holds no attraction for me now. I third the vote about Dave Grohl. ---

I like long hair on men, as a general rule, but it must be well cared for. Long, flat, parted-in-the-middle hair is difficult to pull off for anyone over 18 of either gender. Nice pic, SATAN! But I imagined you looking more like a horny, er, horned beast! I had shoulder length hair for about a year. Actually, it was more like a mohawk, cause the sides were shaved… I thought it was a pain! Actually having to wash and comb it everyday. I’ve had a shaved head for the past 8 years… no competition, I like the short hair. = ) ---

One of my students passed around a list of “things that men wished women knew” (right after a list of “things women wished men knew”). ONe of the rules for women was “Don’t cut your hair. Ever.” I’ve got to generally side with long hair for women. Long hair for men is also great if it covers. Once my widow’s peak started meeting in the middle, I went short (and go skin bald whenever the weather permits). Long hair on balding guys is,IMHO, just sad. Pony tails on balding guys is even worse. Bucky (still missing my pseudo-payess) ---

I like long hair on men, actually I like a few things to be long on men. ## The man I ‘date’ now, (that’s nice for sleep with), has the most gorgeous head of curly long brown hair. The closest example I can give is Mel Gibson in Braveheart. Okay, I’ll admit that Satan and Madpoet are cute, but just think of how much cuter they could be if…Ah, forget it, I can tell it’s going to be a losing argument. 🙂 I must get this out, however. For all you guys walking around with those three inch long split ends: For the love of Mike, please get a trim. It won’t hurt, honest, and you’ll look and feel a whole lot better. Hair does grow back! I can’t speak for all women, but when I see a guy like that, all I can imagine is how unkempt his toenails must be. EWWWW. ---

My hair is about as long as it will get because of split ends… every time it gets longer the ends get worse. I look _horrible_ with short hair though, so my split end vigil will continue until I find a conditioner that keeps it from going dry and brittle.
